P6/7 have been trying to make sense of the early books of the Old Testament. Jenny, from Bible Explorers, has taught the children key words and a hand signal for journeying through the bible from Creation - Ruth, to date. Lily, Joy and Evie have done really well to memorise all the signs and key words so far - well done! Thanks also to Jacob and Charlie who were our cameramen.
We are delighted to have Dianne back to teach children some new hockey skills in an after school club. P2&3 have also been learning new skills in their club between 2-3pm.
It is great to have holidays, but it is also lovely to be back in school. P6/7 revived their spelling skills with a game of Banagram.
We are are delighted to welcome our new children to Primary 1. They have all settled in really well. We also enjoyed eating lunch with their parents and grandparents and younger siblings. This gave us all a chance to get to know each other.
We were delighted to have a visit from the NI Waterbus. Children learned about the importance of looking after the water we have by using it wisely and remembering to only flush the ‘3 Ps’. Children were amazed to see how sand was able to filter the dirty water and the end product of the water cleaning process.
P4/5 have had a great start to their Shared Education programme with children from St. Patrick’s PS. They worked together to solve a variety of team building challenges. EA TV were present to film the session. You can watch our film stars here.
